“Undecided”

Art statement:

Throughout my years attending Ramon C. Cortines, my work has all been about investigation and curiosity. I wanted to test my skills and expand my knowledge of what I can do with art. With that being in mind, I incorporated my massive interest in the environment and botany to highlight just how remarkable and reliable nature is as well as how it is mistreated and overlooked so often.

Being a very nostalgic person, I took a trip to “Back In The Day” to embrace the feeling of nostalgia. As we all have been experiencing, the past couple of years haven’t been so great. Creating artwork that brings fond memories has helped me through these difficult times. Benign able to tap into such deep concepts has been more than just creating art; it was a form of expression and exploration, a chance to learn through creation.
